Sensing Probes

Sensing Probes

Available in aspiration and impact configurations. Both are supplied in a wide range of standard and custom lengths. An aspiration (static) probe has a straight-cut tip that opens parallel with the air stream. An impact (total pressure) probe has an angle-cut tip that opens directly into the air stream: it is positioned so that it faces into the air stream for pressure applications and away from it for vacuum applications. Either type of probe can be supplied with a straight slip-on connector or a tri-barbed connector.

RFS-4000

RFS-4000

Series RFS-4000 is a line of general purpose proving switches designed for HVAC and Energy Management applications. These switches can be used to sense positive, negative, or differential air pressure. The plated housing encloses a diaphragm, a snap-acting switch, and an optional calibration spring (in adjustable set point models). The sample line connections located on each side of the diaphragm accept rigid or flexible tubing. Various electrical connections are available. An optional enclosure cover can be provided to protect the operator from accidental contact with the live switch contacts. The enclosure cover has five knockouts for a 1⁄2″ conduit connection

NS2 12

NS2 12

Series NS2TM Air flow Pressure sensing switches are designed with sturdy, contaminant-free construction, to provide low cost, high accuracy and reliability. NS2 switches offer a narrow switching differential and low set point tolerance over a wide operating temperature and set point range. They can be used to sense positive, negative or differential air pressure. factory-calibrated set points are available from 0.05′′ wc to 10.0′′ wc. The glass-filled polycarbonate body of the switch provides a high degree of stability and accommodates many sample line connector options. the high and low pressure ports are color-coded for ease of identification. Port, bracket, and terminal orientations can be specified. The integral snap-acting switch mechanism (patent pending) is available in SPNO, SPNC, and SPDT terminal configurations. An optional bleed hole is available, as well as numerous standard and custom mounting brackets. Please consult Cleveland Controls about the many custom features we offer. the glass-filled polycarbonate housing contains a sensing diaphragm and includes an integral snap-acting switch. Sample line connectors are located on either or both sides of the diaphragm to accept air sample connections. The electrical connection consists of male 90° quick-connect terminals. The snap action switch can be actuated by a pressure or vacuum air flow, or by a pressure or vacuum differential.

DNS2-01

DNS2-01

Series DNS2TM Air Flow Pressure Sensing Switches are the best solution for applications that require dual set points. In addition, DNS2TM switches have a narrow switching differential, and low set point tolerance over a wide operating temperature and set point range. Factory-calibrated and sealed set points are available from 0.05′′ to 10.0′′ wc. DNS2TM switches can be used to sense positive, negative or differential air pressure. Typically, DNS2TM switches are applied to two-stage furnaces where high fire and low fire set points are required. Each of the two glass-filled polycarbonate housings contains a sensing diaphragm and an integral snap-acting switch. One or two sample line connectors are located on either or both sides of the diaphragm to accept air sample connections. The snap action switch can be actuated by a pressure or vacuum air flow, or by a pressure or vacuum differential.

DFS-221-112

DFS-221-112

Model DFS-221-112 Air Pressure Sensing Switch is a proving switch designed for duct heater, oven, and other HVAC or Energy Management applications where an open-mounted, nonadjustable switch is desirable. It is especially suitable for surface-mounting in areas where internal access is limited. Model DFS-221-112 can be used to sense positive, negative, or differential air pressure. The plated housing contains a diaphragm and a snap-acting SPDT switch. The DFS- 221-112 is equipped with convenient dual- barbed sample line connectors located on each side of the diaphragm. The dual-barbed connectors accept 3⁄16″ or 1⁄4″ ID flexible tubing. The electrical connection consists of 1⁄4″ 90o quick connect spade terminals. The SPDT snap action switch operates on pressure rise of 0.05 ± 0.02″ w.c. For additional application and technical information, please contact the sales office.
